What's been happenin

Ok.....qutie a bit of news

1. Me......On Feb. 6th I underwent emergency spinal surgery! All seems to be healing nicely except for a pesky nerve problem on my right side. We'll see if that disappears with time and PT. I am finally doing PT and I hate it. Well actually I hate the way I feel afterwards. My right leg gets so tired so quickly that it frustrates me. Hopefully that will get better soon. That's the purpose of PT...RIGHT?!?

2. Kids......doing great as usual. Alexys is loving ballet...and every week Shane says he wants to go to and dance. Nic is riding his bike every chance he gets, including in the snow, rain and wind. He's showing great promise for being a postal worker, lol. Despite any drama between their collective fathers and myself...they just keep on smiling through it.

3. Ex husband.....things have been on a pretty much friendly track for a little bit now. I am enjoying the peace. We even went on a date last Friday to the movies.

4. Donor......I typically hear from him once every other week or so. He has not seen Shane in 7 weeks now. He was supposed to come down and spend the weekend 2 weeks after my surgery but at the last minute dicked us over. He stated he was "physically and mentally ill" and claimed he had been home all week working on it and he still didn't feel better. I know better!! He was out all week hanging out with his program friends, so I am deducing that his friends/girlfriend are more importantt hatn his son and that is fine. We did great for 2 1/2 years without him and we will continue to do so.

5. My quasi bro-in-law, sis-in-law, and niece stopped down this weekend and it was awesome. The kids were so excited to see them and they had a great time.

6. We have a new family member in the house. A 135lb Rotti named Feliz. She has made all the difference in my recovery as well. We got her for protection and companionship and she is just amazing. I'll post pics on my web site soon.

7. Going on a cruise in May. Hopefully! If all the babysitting arrangements can be figured out. We'll see what happens.

8. Shane's brothers are doing well. Damian is a lil cutie with his father's selfishness and temper....but you can't blame him. He has been raised to think that Gamma's house is his special place and he is the best boy and their number one so when cousin's or a siblings come over, you'd have to expect some jealousy and resistance in sharing. I made arrangements to pick hiom up from his mom and have him spend the night as soon as I am up to the ride and I think getting him on neutral grounds will help dramaticly.
Timothy is in foster care right now. A crazy situation landed him there but we are hoping he will be home with his mom soon.

other than all of that......things are otherwise calm and pretty good........for now...lol

TTFN,

B
